Samuel Dinkins III
The Dinkins Music and Arts Foundation (DMAF) is a 501(c)(3) organization founded by Samuel Dinkins, III. Mr. Dinkins, originally from Brooklyn, New York has called Houston home for over 30 years. Through DMAF, he utilizes his talents and gifts to fulfill the organizations’ purpose, mission and goals. He serves on the board of the AFM Local 65-699 and is the Diversity Delegate to the AFM Convention. He is a member of NAMM, the National Association of Music Merchants, PAS, the Percussive Arts Society, TMEA, the Texas Music Educators Association, a Life member of Kappa Kappa Psi National Honorary Band Fraternity, Inc. and several other professional organizations. He is the proud Father of two musical sons: Samuel Dinkins, IV and Samson Lee Dinkins.
The main goals of Dinkins Music & Arts Foundation are to:
1. Provide a forum
for music and art education through private & group classes, clinics, seminars & workshops; music performances in and beyond the concert hall;
2. Cultivate appreciation
for music and the arts through music education. Mr. Dinkins is a Music Educator and Performer who is an accomplished Drummer/Percussionist.
